FRAMEWORK

A considered approach to cohesive community design

Understanding the Community
We begin by looking at the development as a whole — its architecture, layout, and the way each building and unit contributes to the overall character.

Observing the Surroundings
The broader context is considered — neighbouring buildings, landscape, and natural light — along with how the development is experienced as a cohesive streetscape.

Assessing What Exists
Existing colours, materials, and variations across units are carefully reviewed to understand what is working, what is inconsistent, and where opportunities lie. This stage also helps inform a clear and communicable direction for council review.

Establishing the Palette
From there, we begin refining a palette that works in relationship — balancing body colours, trim, accents, and materials across all units.

Balancing the Composition
Each element is adjusted in context, ensuring the development reads as a unified whole.

Your Community Colour Plan
A clear and detailed plan is provided, outlining colours, placement, and application so the work can be carried out with confidence and consistency across all units.

Colour boards are prepared to support visualization, and I am available to speak at your AGM if desired.

When many homes are involved, clarity becomes essential.

This process is designed to bring a sense of order and cohesion, allowing decisions to unfold with confidence rather than complexity.

“The colour resolution is approved. The vote is unanimous.”

As a strata council member, I can say with confidence—yes, one person can make a decisive difference to a paint project.

Our first paint vote failed, leaving both council and owners with fences to mend. When we brought Kora on board, her clarity and communication approach shifted everything.

By the time the new colour design came to a vote, those challenges had been resolved. In a packed meeting representing nearly 200 owners, the result had everyone smiling:

“The colour resolution is approved. The vote is unanimous.”

Kora brings a rare combination of thoughtful colour design and the ability to guide people through complex decisions. The difference is unmistakable.”

In multi-unit projects, the challenge is often communication rather than colour.

Different perspectives, expectations, and priorities all need to come together in a way that feels fair and well considered.

Through a clear process and thoughtful communication, I help guide those decisions so the outcome feels cohesive and supported by the people it affects.

Clarity for Complex Decisions

THE VALUE EXCHANGE

Colour and design guidance, where your building is considered in relation to its architecture and surroundings, shaping a clear and cohesive direction for the whole.

EACH MULTI-UNIT PROJECT
REQUIRES A DISTINCT APPROACH

Pricing is provided by quote following an initial on-site meting, so you have clarity before moving forward.

During our process we will:

• Begin with an on-site visit to understand your building firsthand.
• Document and assess the property through photos and detailed observation
• Provide a project quote following this initial review
• Develop two distinct and considered colour palette options
• Create physical colour sample boards for accurate colour representation
• Provide clear colour documentation and schematics for your contractor to ensure accurate implementation
• Provide a visual representation of the proposed scheme, allowing you to see the overall effect before it is realized. This representation is for colour placement guidance only and not colour accuracy.
• Option to speak at an AGM or SGM
