  • I work with Benjamin Moore, Farrow & Ball, Sherwin Williams, Dulux/PPG, Cloverdale and Dunn Edwards. If you have another brand that you would like to work with, please contact me and I will be happy to see if I can assist you.

  • No, I am a completely independent colour consultant. I am not paid by, nor do I receive any referrals from any paint company.

General information

In-person residential interior or exterior colour guidance

  • Colour design and guidance are available for clients both in-person and online.

  • I come to you with the colour palette from the brand of paint that is to be used on your project. These are individuals samples. This is a collaboration, we’ll work together to come up with a colour palette that you love. Afterwards, you will receive your personalized colour scheme, which details colour name, number and placement and is in a format that is easy for your paint contractor to understand.

  • I don’t usually need anything before our meeting. I work best in the space and don’t like to come in with pre-conceived ideas.

  • I have a two hour minimum for both interior and exterior in-person consultations. This is usually sufficient for most projects. However, the length of time will depend upon the complexity if the project and well as your own decision making process.

  • I request that all in-person consultations be paid by email money transfer.

  • INTERIOR CONSULTATIONS
    $200.00 for one hour with a one hour minimum.
    After the first hour I charge $100.00 per half hour or any portion thereof.

    EXTERIOR CONSULTATIONS
    $450.00 for two hours with a two hour minimum.
    After two hours I charge $100.00 per half hour or portion any thereof.

  • Yes, I help clients all over the Lower Mainland and the North Shore.
    For Whistler and the Fraser Valley a travel fee is applied.
    If you are on Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast or the Gulf Islands, please contact me for my rates.
    Naturally, once a ferry ride is involved I have to charge differently. I do my best to make these fees as accessible as possible.

Online colour design

  • I will gather information from you and give you details as to what kind of photographs I’ll need and how to send them.
    I will then get to work on two different colour schemes to send you.
    We’ll communicate via email and video conferencing.

  • High resolution photos of the front and back and usually at least one side of the house.
    Once I see the initial photos I may ask for more detailed ones, but this varies from project to project.

  • It will depend on the complexity of the project.
    Once I see a photograph of the front of the house and get an idea of what you’re looking for, then I will send you a quote.
    My fee structure for Online projects is lower from In-person, as more hours are involved and I don’t have to travel.

  • This depends on what country you are in.
    For Canadian clients, I prefer to be paid via email money transfer.
    For U.S. or other International clients, payment is made via Stripe.

  • For anyone in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland all projects are done In-person.
    However, I do offer Online guidance for clients on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Island or the Sunshine Coast.

  • Yes, Online guidance can be done for both.

Design services

  • I offer design assistance with flooring, countertops, cabinet style and colour and also lighting fixtures.
    I can also give you suggestions, or work with you regarding cabinet hardware.
    I can give you on the spot suggestions regarding colour ideas for things such as window coverings or furniture.
    I also offer services in art placement and furniture layout and flow.

  • If you have already collected samples then we can meet at your home and we’ll incorporate this in with your colour consultation. If you don’t have any samples yet, then we can meet at a showroom or retailer.

  • I generally like to decide on paint colours first.

  • Absolutely, I can help with both of those things and will often make these types of suggestions during our colour consultation.

  • For design services, sourcing or showroom visits I charge $100.00 per hour with a one hour minimum.

Condominium/HOA upgrade services

  • Interior common area paint colour consultation.
    Exterior paint colour consultation. Interior common area flooring and lighting.

  • We’ll have an initial meeting on-site so that I can view the project, gather information from you and take photographs.
    After that I will send you a quote along with a scope of work document and my timeline for the project.

  • My turnaround time for paint colours is typically 7-10 days.
    If you are changing the flooring it could take longer for me to receive samples from the supplier.
    Sometimes the strata or special council has already made a shortlist of flooring options and has samples in their possession, I will require these while I’m working on the paint colour schemes.

  • Yes, I will happily do so and usually consider this to be a good idea.
    It gives owners the opportunity to hear about my process and to ask me questions.
    This can be done virtually for non-local clients.

  • I will provide you wtih two different colour scheme options.

  • Colour boards for the paint samples, these are typically printed samples that come from the paint manufacturer. Colour boards include samples of all colours that are to be used.
    Colour schematics detailing colour name, number and placement for the paint contractor.
    Supporting documents to give an overview of why certain colours were chosen and what happens to colour when painted over a large surface area.
    A single digitally rendered photo, this is for exterior surfaces only.
    Renderings are meant to give a general idea of colour placement and are not to be considered an accurate representation of paint colours.

  • This depends upon the scope of your project.
    After our initial meeting I will provide you with a quote and scope of work documents.

  • Yes, my fee for an initial visit is $250.00.
    Our initial meeting is an important one, I will spend at least an hour with you gathering information and taking photographs.
    The quote and scope of work documents are written specifically for each project.
